BELLEFONTE – The North squad scored 16 unanswered points in the 4th quarter of the 41st playing of the Lezzer Lumber Classic at Rogers Stadium.

After a successful onside kick by the North, their drive stalled out as Dubois WR Bryson Delaney could not get his feet down in the back of the end zone on a beautiful ball by Bellefonte QB Liam Halterman. The South quickly capitalized on the missed opportunity by the North, with a quick 74 yard touchdown drive led by Tyrone’s Ashton Walk who hit his fellow Golden Eagle Trent Adams on a 25 yard pass.

The North would answer back on a Danny Dixon 6 yd touchdown run to set the score at 8–7 heading into the second quarter, in favor of the South.

Entering the second quarter, the South faced a 3rd and 15 from the opponents 38 yd line. Bellwood-Antis QB Holden Schreier would connect with Hollidaysburg WR Brady Steiner to give the South an early 7 point lead.

Only forty seconds later, Clearfield RB Brady Collins broke multiple tackles and tightrope walked the sideline to score a 41 yard touchdown, his first of the night, bringing the score within one. With 7:08 remaining in the second quarter, Ashton Walk would find the endzone for a second time, this time on the ground by way of a 1 yd QB sneak. This would make the score South 20 - North 13, and this score would hold true for the next 16 minutes of play until 2:19 in the third.

Following a long methodical drive for the North which started at their own 25, Brady Collins would find the end zone again, this time with an 8-yard rush to even the score at 20. At the 0:09 mark of the third quarter, Seth Hoover would score for the South, on a 5 yard rushing touchdown out of the backfield. As play entered the fourth quarter, it appeared as though momentum was swinging in favor of the South, with a 28-20 lead.

With about 8 minutes remaining in regulation, the North took charge, driving 80 yards in total to score. On a dominant drive which featured a 26 yard rush by Lamar Wilson of State College and a 8 yard touchdown scramble by QB Liam Halterman, the North would tie the game at 28 with a 2 point conversion run by Brady Collins.

As the South looked to answer, a quick 35 yard pass from Walk to Hoover seemed to have them heading in the right direction. However, after a rush that lost a yard and an incomplete pass, Aston Walk would sail a pass directly into the arms of Nathan Kougher of the North.

Following the interception, the North could not get anything going and eventually punted, where the South would take over on their own 35. The defense would prevail again, with the North forcing a turnover on downs after a TFL by Darrell Lunon of State College.

Brady Collins would then take matters into his own hands, behind beautiful blocks from his teammates, scoring the game winning td from 41 yards out, his third of the game. When asked about this play, Collins would state, "I knew they were tired, so I thought I was going to score." Not only would he score, but he would cap off the two point conversion as well.

On the ensuing possession by the South, only four plays later, Brady Collins would seal the game with an interception of Ashton Walk.

On a night filled with explosive plays, drama, and a fourth quarter comeback, Brady Collins (3 rushing tds, 1 int, and 101 yds) and Darryl Lunon (1 sack, 1 TFL) would earn the North Offensive and Defensive MVP respectively. Meanwhile, for the South, QB Ashton Walk (1 passing td, 1 rushing td, 113 passing yds) and Connor Boreman of Juniata-Valley (1 int) would take home Offensive and Defensive MVP.

The North extends its lead in the all-time series record to 21–19 over the South, ending the South's two year win streak.
